Would love to find these patches - just the well-known ones really; the Pink Floyd, the Who, Edgar Winter Group etc.... or does anyone know how to make these sounds from scratch?

I could always just fiddle around til I find out myself! :) But I wouldn't know where to start!!

So I bought the Gaia from Sweetwater and the patches are great. However, when I tried to back them up into my usb flash drive, I only found a SH01_BUP.bin file instead of the usual SVD file.

I noticed that Fisher's Collection patches also have this BIN file, so what is it for?

Hey Dude, that'll work!!!m :D
I bought the extravaganza patches and it was saved as the same type of BIN file..
In order to transfer the BIN file to your Gaia, it's really simple:

1. Copy the SH01_BUP.BIN.
2. Go to USB Memory stick (probably F drive) and go into the SH01 folder that is in the ROLAND folder and paste the SH01_BUP.BIN file into the SH01 folder.

If you save your user presets, these directories are automatically created, so it's only a matter of opening up a couple of directories and copying the replacement file into it.

SH01_BUP.bin is the backup file, afaik (‘BackUP’). See page 57 of the manual.

To make an SVD file save just the user patches (page 56).
