Well, atm they offer:

Here's what's included, in list form:
    - 2GB high-speed thumb drive with our 64 exclusive GAIA patches
    - QuickStarts, Tips, and Patch Lists for our bank and the Factory Bank
    - A letter explaining how to get 64 more "Fisher Bank" sounds from Roland
    - An instruction sheet showing you how to combine the banks to instantly access 192 unique patches (64 Factory, 64 Fisher, 64 Sweetwater Bank)
    - A movie on the thumb drive with a demo of many of the patches

Everything would fit nicely on the stick.

Gotta be honest - to me that sounds like 'ok, we've got some dude to make us some cool patches - now what other crap can we shove on there to make it seem like it's almost worth the exhorbitant amount of money we're charging for what is basically an idea....' ;)

Yeah I noticed that too, I contacted them about it but got no response. Maybe I should try to contact them again. You should also send them an e-mail, to show them that there is demand for either shipping a download version, or lower overseas shipping costs. There’s no real reason shipping a simple USB stick ought to cost that much…

If, in that original YouTube video I saw, there was a simple link that said 'Don't live in the US or have already bought a Gaia? Get the Sweetwater patches here for $10!' then they would have made money from me. S'all I'm sayin! :)

Hello.

Been meaning to join for a while, and this thread kinda spurred me on. So, er, hello. :)

I was on the verge of ordering these patches from Sweetwater but after reading the shipping costs they're charging (I'm in Scotland), I emailed them to see if they'd just do it by email.

I suspect not but we'll see. I'll post any response I get from them.

Cheers!! :)

Would anyone be willing to post them again or possibly email them to me? I'm
also kind of spearheading finding them for a Facebook group about the Gaia.
Any help would be really great!

Hi Dr Scruggs,

Please do not steal my patches or encourage others to do so. I have given 64 of
my GAIA patches away for free on the Roland web site. Is that not enough free
stuff from me? Do you have to facilitate the theft of my other 64 patches?

This is what I do for a living, and I put a great deal of time into my work.

Please respect that.

Hello DemonDan,

I live in Europe and I wanted to buy your patches from Sweatwater but unfortunately their shipment prices are ridiculously more than the product it self and it discourages me to buy your product from them.

Is there any way you and SweatWater find a platform to sell this product online for overseas customers.

This would be great for us who is eagerly waiting your patches to be played in our Gaia's

I have to agree on that... I worked around the high shipping price by asking a US colleague of mine to receive it at his home address and forward the package contents to me, but that’s more of a workaround than a solution. $40 just doesn’t make sense for shipping a simple envelope with a USB stick. Also the files could easily be offered as a download, eliminating shipping cost entirely, but I asked about that and they said they were only offering it on USB stick.

Maybe if enough people ask them by email they will do something about it.
