Stereophonics - Dakota

I actually tried to make this back when I owned a MicroKorg - I actually think the MK did a better job than the Gaia! Have a listen and compare and tell me what you think:

I think the Gaia’s version sounds better :).

The original sounds more raw though... Maybe add a bit crush filter? Also the phaser in the original sounds different. Also I think you should give it a little more decay, it sounds too stretched, the original has more of a ‘pluck’ to it. (Disclaimer: am at work though, so this is a bit uninformed commenting in the dark, without actually trying it first :).)

Haha no I completely agree with all points - the MK version has the phaser sound licked, so I need to make the Gaia version sound the same. I struggled for ages trying to get the 'pluck' sound but I've yet to nail it.... It's definitely a work in progress! :-) feel free to tweak it as long as you share your results!

Are you sure that you have saved the right patch? 'Dakota.gaia' sounds very different from your recording, or am I doing something wrong.
