It’s a MIDI filtering device. It’s costs a bit ($149 and $189) but it looks pretty awesome and seems to be useful for all sorts of things.
For example, the GAIA doesn’t send CC messages for the ASDR controls right? You could use this device to map the sysex messages they generate (when Tx Edit is on) to CC messages.
Also it should be able to fix the problem mentioned in the MIDI issues - GM2 thread.
There’s also other possibilities, like the guy in the video comments just wanted the MIDI sync but not the note messages. And I got a mail from some guy asking me if it’s possible to filter out the CC messages and keep just the note messages…
Seems like a must-have if you’re doing a lot with MIDI
