Is it possible to split sound generation engine from keyboar

Im wondering if it is possible to split the sound generation engine in the gaia from the keyboard on gaia. What I mean is I would like to be able to use the keyboard to control other soft synths and parameters in my daw (reaper and studio one). Unfortunately when I do this turning a knob to control a software parameter also changes the tone in the gaia.
What Im wondering is if there is a way to set up the sound the way you want and then stop sending new cc messages from the knobs on gaia to its sound engine...That way I can just set up the gaia correct, then do a switch and use it to control other soft synths without affecting gaia's sound.
if not I guess Ill just have to find a place for my gigantic axiom keyboard...hmm now where could I put that thing.
