No sound using USB/Audio

Postby calande » Fri Jun 08, 2012 6:36 pm

Hello,

I just plugged my Gaia to my PC using only the USB cable, and I installed the driver found on the web site. Only the USB cable, no audio cable. Unfortunately, even after tweaking the virtual mixing console of Windows 7, I can't hear anything from the Gaia on my computer. However, I can hear MP3s from Windows Media Player. I can also hear the Gaia if I connect my earphones to the rear panel. But nothing from the Gaia on my PC. When I hit a key repeatedly, I can see on the vumeter of Windows mixer, a single green bar at the bottom, then it disappears when I stop. Any idea?
Thanks,
calande

Is it possible that the vu that your seeing is from an active mic picking up the sound of the key press? I know this doesn't help, just trying to narrow down the problem a little.

You may have to have your daw open with a track auditioned and set to use the gaia input.
