Hello Gaia world,

first off I am very sorry but I am a complete beginner to this technical side of synths, so please excuse the stupid question...

Well what I would like to know is, can I link a M-AUDIO Keystation 88ES controller keyboard to the Gaia without going via a computer. What I would like to do is play the keys on the M-AUDIO Keystation instead of the Gaia but still be able to use the controls on the Gaia!!! (if that makes sense)...

Hey ash,

If that’s a regular MIDI controller keyboard, you should be able to just connect it with a MIDI-cable. All the controls on the Gaia will keep working even if there’s an external keyboard connected.

Thanks for your reply. It does say it will go via midi to a sound module, so am I correctly thinking the Gaia acts as a sound module??
