Hi basanders,

Thanks. It’s written in Java and Android uses Java too but that’s unfortunately where the similarities end. I would have to rewrite the entire UI... Not a massive undertaking, but still a pretty big one :). How would you connect the GAIA to the tablet? Are there special tablet to MIDI cables or something? I’ve got a Galaxy Tab 7.7 myself, so it’s an interesting thought :).

Hi goony,

I want to add SVD support but it is not trivial as there is no official documentation for that file format, so I have to reverse-engineer it.

For now I suggest the following approach: if you put the SVD file on an USB stick and select an USB memory patch on the Gaia, the patch will be loaded into the temporary patch area. Then you can save the temporary patch as a .gaia-file and store it in your library.

I released a new version, 0.4. What’s new:

  • SVD file format support in library.
  • Startup time improvement for large libraries.
Get it here: http://www.grauw.nl/projects/gaia-tool/

If you have any suggestions for improvements or new features, let me know.

In case you’re interested, I now maintain a public feature and bug list here. Feel free to look through it if you’re curious which things I would like to do in the future, or to comment or add things. Of course suggesting features here in this thread is ok too :).
