monophonic issue

Postby chrisdlugosz » Fri Sep 23, 2011 1:41 am

i have been a keyboardist my entire life, but never really focused on learning the core of real synthesizing. the gaia is the teaching aid i have been waiting for indeed!

i was wondering if anyone knows about the monophonic setting regarding the internal signal chain or data flowchart. specifically i want to know if you can have the mono instruction activate BEFORE other elements trigger such as the attacks of everything.

more simply put, if i create a patch that uses a lowpass in the attack to sound like "BOWWWWW" and then i set it to monophonic, i want each key press to be BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW instead of BOW, WWW, WWW, WWW, WWW if you know what i mean.

thanks

Maybe some one with the official Roland Gaia editing software, could help with this?

The Gaia’s monophonic mode is legato only, afaik. There’s no settings that I’m aware of that influences how it works.
